Loughran Hall is part of the former Marian Convent complex. In 2005-2006, this section of the facility was renovated into a first-year student residence hall, made possible by estate gifts from esteemed Marywood alumnae Helen Loughran '30 and Mary Loughran '31. The Loughran sisters both pursued careers as teachers and always had a vested interest in their students, so it is fitting that this vibrant student residence bears their name.
